I went here tonight and I believe this might have been only the 6th time I visited. It isn't usually a place I like to eat but when old friends get together, this is it. Beer, food, televisions, etc. It's actually, in my opinion, a more upscale type of bar. They keep it clean and the staff is friendly. The food is good, however there are some items which aren't worth the cost. Tonight one of the guys had four beers and it was almost $8+ per beer. I could understand $6 but $8 is just a little too much. With tip we spent around $17 bucks each eating wings and drinking beer, not including the $8 beers. You can save if you look for the specials or use coupons. LMAO I especially like the new urinals in the guys bathroom. yes... the urinals. I've always wondered why places kept using those old ones which always splash back on you when you pee. WTH? Now they have this new design which totally doesn't splash. Very cool. Overall, meh. Like I said I wouldn't go here unless some people came in to town and we needed a place to visit.

Service was good, if you just want a drink this is a place to go. But if you expect good food do not go here. Save yourself the effort and walk next door to Bahama breeze. Everything was cold and one entire came 10mins after the others, if we were not one of the only 10 tables in the restaurant this might have been slightly acceptable. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND EDIT: After receiving an email from Ale house from customer service at the restaurant I feel that we will give this location a second chance. The manager of this location apologized for the bad service and upon revisiting I will further update this review.

I love all of the Miller's Ale Houses! We went to our first one at Pensacola, and now we look forward to hitting them up whenever we are in towns that have them. The Altamonte one didn't disappoint! The best deal anywhere on 35 shrimp with two sides AND they have cider on tap, too?? I'm sold! They have a lot of bar food that's great if you wan to sit around and drink and socialize, but they have some awesome entrees and desserts, too. I recommend checking them out!

Oh, Ale House... How I love thee. This is my ole trusty and has been for years. nothing really changes with the Ale House and I'm okay with that! The wings are pretty much my hands down favorite anywhere, the beer is always cold, the servers always nice and the bartenders are reliable.

Shrimp scampi was tasty. The portions are a perfect amount of food. Love their bar. Plenty of tvs.Service was professional and quick. They have a great variety of food. I like this location since it's near the altamonte mall. Literally in their parking lot.

Standard Ale House- I love the Southwest Bistro Steak Salad and pretty much order it every time. It was again delicious. We also ordered the loaded fries as an appetizer- not a fan, they were dry and overall not that great. Ranch does not in fact, make everything better. I'm not a Pepsi fan and they don't offer coke here but our waitress suggested the diet rootbeer. It came in a bottle and the Hank's Diet Rootbeer was pretty tasty. My manager ordered the fajitas which looked great. My collegue ordered a burger that looked pretty tasty as well. Plus we love the huge booths so we could conduct a working lunch. Love that they have over 20 televisions featuring various sporting events and stations.

Going after the late night happy hour. A pitcher of margaritas for seven bucks sounds great. Too bad it tasted like sour mix and even after adding OJ. HARD TO SWALLOW WITHOUT PUCKERING UP. on the other hand late night appetizers and the prize are HARD to pass on. Server was nice, prompt and attentive. Will come back..hope I just had an odd margaritas day

Sad and uninspired fare is the standard here. I am a pretty big bar food connoisseur so in theory I love the Ale House menu, but everything is so poorly executed. I've had so many items on the menu, ranging from wings and tenders to cheese sticks and pizza. Even the drinks are super watered down, which is why they are so cheap. Even subpar bar food is still good hence the 2 stars, but it is really sad how little this place tries due to their popular status.

Pretty typical Ale House here. The food is good. I've never really been disappointed with anything I've ordered. I'm a fan of the blackened turkey burger, the Cajun pasta, and the Zinger mountain melt. Appetizer-wise, you can't really go wrong with the pot stickers or the fried Mozz. The staff here is usually pretty helpful. There have been a couple times where we were seated and no one came to our table. We had to go track someone down. That sort of stuff doesn't happen too often though. The back porch is a cigarette-fest. If you're looking to eat your meal outside in the fresh air, don't bother. It's just all of the bros that watch sports and smoke out there. Much more of a scummy bar kind of feel out there. Overall not a bad place for a casual dinner with a couple drinks.

The female bartender at the inside bar that works Monday-Friday is the best. Great personality, quick service, & she remembered my name. I will go back.

Pretty much an Applebee's /chili's with a different name. Great drink specials and the ribs are mediocre.

Good food nice atmosphere, a great place to relax after a busy day. We shared the 12 oz ribeye, cooked just as we like it but the portions were small, the steak as thin.

This is an updated review.... After trying ale house multiple times unsuccessfully we found ourselves back here last week because they're one of the only places open nearby with food. I must say this last time was much better!! The service was excellent we had a great waitress! I had a flatbread which was really good.... My husband had tacos which were still ehhh. But overall a much better experience. Great specials after 10 too so we will likely be back!

Disappointed in the place. Well to be honest did not even get a chance to taste or enjoy anything. We had called ahead asking if their patio area is pet friendly. The hostess on the phone asked us what kind of dog and his size told us that yes we can bring our dog with us and we should try to sit at the end of the patio area so that other patrons are not disturbed. Behold when we arrived there and got ourselves seated at the very end of the patio the waitress approached us and rudely informed us that pets were not allowed. In spite of informing her that we had called in advance and checked she insisted that only service dogs were allowed on the patio. (to my knowledge service dogs are allowed anywhere). We left the patio area immediately and stepped out to make a call again to the establishment and once again we were told that pets are allowed if its a small dog. While walking again into the patio we were approached by the so called manager and told us to leave and that the hostess had no idea about the rules of City of Altamonte Springs. Apparently city of Altamonte Springs doesn't allow dogs on restaurant patios. I searched the net and couldn't find such law. (Hope there is a law like that so I don't have a bitter taste against that waitress and manager or on Ale house) What a waste of time. They managed to spoil our evening.

We have been coming here for over 9 years, great food, although prices keep getting higher, but still a great value for the food! Tonight I had the ribeye steak, good as always. My wife had the filet mignon, it was ok, but I do not recommend for the price.

Tonight I attempted to place an order for pick-up, my husband left our house when I called, so it could be ready when he arrived. Well, I was put on hold for so long (8 minutes and 46 seconds), he ended up arriving at the restaurant while I was still on hold. He ended up just walking in and placing the order himself. This definitely deterred me from ever placing a phone order here again. To add insult to injury, the food was disgusting. I ordered the 35 Shrimp Scampi and it was basically boiled pasta covered in oil and garlic, with shrimp. I also tried on of the mozzarella sticks and those were terrible too, hence why I only bothered eating one. I really don't get the hype with Alehouse, it's a mediocre sports bar and not much else.

The food is great, so 2 stars, but the service is so horrible i have to take away 3 stars. And 90% of the time we are getting take out.. Every single time the order is missing something. We wont even leave the bar with out checking our bags. Its gotten to the point where we place bets now before we arrive to guess whats going to be missing this time.. How freakin hard is it to get a order of zingers with 2 different sauces and a oriental chicken salad correct!!!!! You would think its straight forward but apparently its more complicated then sending a man to the moon.. Calling in a order is another issue. I call in a order to place it and start driving.. Im more then half way there (5 miles total) before I get to place my order. In this last case though I was litterally pulling into the parking lot when someone comes on the line and says hello... I say hello... He places his order with me... Im like wtf??? I ask him why are you giving me your order, shouldnt i be giving you my order? He asked if this was ale house, I said I called ale house, you are talking to a customer, Apparently I some how i got connected to someone else calling in a order.. I guess the staff isnt capable of taking a order so they just decided to hand the task over to me..

Icky! I met some friends her for lunch after church and the place wasn't as packed as most restaurants are... Which should have been the first red flag. The table we were seated at was dirty from the previous guests. The server told us she would be back to take our drink orders and disappeared for ten minutes. When she returned, she smelled like smoke. She took our drink orders and when we tried to place food orders she said she'd bring the drinks out first. She was gone for another ten minutes and forgot the lemon for my water. The food was mediocre and blah. I would never go back again.

My sister wanted to eat here and I went along, I think it was a tuesday and the special was Osso Buco (Marinated pork shank) so that is what I ordered. It was tasteless, I had a bite and gave my sister a bite to make sure it was not just me, she agreed. I had one bite of the potatoes and they were luke warm and had been sitting for a bit before arriving at the table. The waitress went by the table many times and did not one time ask if there was a problem. When my sister finished her (so-so) hamburger the waitress came by to see if we wanted dessert and again did not ask about the full plate of food. I told her she could bring me a to go box, still no question about the food? My sister finally asked her why she wasn't asking about the food. she then did ask if there was a problem and did take it off the bill. The salad would have been nice but the blue cheese dressing is I believe the worst I have ever had. The iced tea was good.

The drunk at the bar tonight going "Woooohh" in a very loud voice every 5 - 10 minutes ruined it for us. The manager came and spoke to him after some time but 10 minutes later he was at it again. The very drunk girl next to us when we sat down thankfully left soon after arrived. Getting way to noisy and rowdy for us, we'll take our business elsewhere from here on.

I go there very often after work, it's in the same parking lot the bartenders are friendly and will get your drink to you quick! The managers brandon and Carl are friendly I really like them! I will tell you I've never seen a general manager work as hard as Carl does. He lifts a finger unlike a lot of Gms let alone managers. He is personable and extremely diligent! I wish i had a Gm that wasn't afraid to help his employees! Overall not a bad place to grab a drink or an app.. Don't really eat there but that's because they don't have good food.

I ordered nachos which were great. My Mom ordered chicken salad sandwich and she asked for the fries ti be well done. They were brought to us not at all crunchy like she ordered. They took them back and fried them more. The meal was supposed to come with two sides. They forgot the second item and we had to remind them to bring it out. She ordered Brocoli and they bring it out on a plate and all that they did was nuke them in the microwave. No seasoning or butter. She had to ask for butter and what was brought out was not butter. It tasted really bad and smelled just as bad. I had run out of tea halfway through my meal and I had to ask the waitress for a refill. By the time my mother and I had finished both our meals still nothing. My mom asked if we should tell her again. I'm sorry, but it's not Rocket Surgery. I said it doesn't matter anymore. the waitress gave off the impression that she doesn't want to be there and it was an inconvenience to even be waiting on us. It was even lunch time to where it was not super crowded.

The Food is good! Sometimes the drink specials are great! I remember back in the day it was a lot cheaper than it is now. The patio is always crazy buy, I suggest the zingers of course (I miss the days of the all-you-can-eat Zinger nights) Not a bad place to grab a drink after a night at the movies.

I had the taco special and I do not recommend it. My wife and I both had the taco salad, the shell was not fresh-very little beef and to top it off they had cucumbers! Yuck!

I went there for the 10 pm to close Happy Hour yesterday (1/18/2015). I have been to several others (Winter Park and I-Drive) and had a wonderful experience! I asked the waitress if they were having a happy hour, to which she replied no! It was 10:15pm. I said "It says on the door you are". To which she began by telling no and rambling on about drink prices. I took a picture of the sign by the door and showed her. So, she honored it. At that point I felt that she had redeemed herself. Around 1 AM they began shutting down the entire restaurant. They shutoff all the TVs, waiters were counting money, eating, and shutting off lights. My wife asked what time they close. The waitress replied 2am, I mean 1am last call was at 12:30 am. I was irate because I know that they should have been open till 2am. I have felt bamboozled! Service Needs Help In Altamonte Springs Ale House because they made me feel insignificant!

The chicken nachos were as I remember. Mound of nachos covered in melted cheese, topped with salsa, lettuce, sour cream and lots of tasty shredded chicken. Hot, plentiful and tasty. The burger with cheese, bacon and chili was cooked as ordered, hot and flavorful. Great service, food served quickly.

I like to have ladies night here once in a while. Service is polite and the crowd here normally doesn't bother me. My husband and I also do date nights here sometimes for a meal and a drink. We don't take the kids here too often but it's a nice family environment as well, especially if you're not doing a late dinner and there past 9. I love anything to do with Zingers, and I've had a really good steak sandwich. I don't really venture too far from my favorites but I have no complaints. The desserts are also a favorite, they are normally a good size to share.

I come here at least one a week or drinks or food. Fish tacos are delicious and the Philly is really good. Fajitas are always a winner and the staff are great. Knowledgeable bartenders Saira, Rein, Ashley, Kim and Jennifer are fantastic. I will continue to come up here and enjoy the employees and meeting interesting people.

I love the ale house chain. Went twice on a week trip to Altamonte. the prime rib special is superb and the zingers are always amazing. The staff is excellent at this location. Top notch!

We waited a bit, but one of the waitstaff noticed and sat us pretty promptly. Apparently the hostess was busy talking with her co - workers in the back. Our waitress, Lori, was attentive and helpful. The French dip was fantastic, but my husband felt the fish to breading ratio was off. Too much breading and not enough fish. We probably won't come back.

As was the case with a recent trip to the Altamonte Springs WingHouse location, a friend and I recently were at Ale House to see how it was holding up. My recent visit here was my first in at least five years. I used to frequent this Ale House quite a bit in the early 2000s and maybe as recently as 2005-06 but, for whatever reason(s) (some friends moved away; I began hanging out at different places; etc.), I ceased hanging out in Altamonte Springs for a long time. I have been spending a lot of time there lately, though, so I've been stopping by at some of my old favorite places a little bit lately. This Ale House pretty much is just how I remember it being in the past. It doesn't appear that anything has changed either on the inside or outside ... which is fine, since Ale House pretty much is what it is and how just about everyone perceives it to be. It doesn't pretend to be anything that it isn't. My friend and I kept it simple while here. I think he had a quesadilla and a beer or two, whereas I had the "loaded" (w/ cheese, scallions, etc.) French fries and a beer or two. Everything was fine and priced appropriately. Our server did a good job of recommending beers to us, too. I believe I had a raspberry wheat beer or something very similar to that and that was on "special," and I may not have tried it unless she suggested it. It was nice. As always has been the case here (and at other Ale House locations) and in my opinion, there is nothing extraordinary or extravagant about this Ale House. Four stars sounds about right. Perhaps many years ago I would've rated this higher since I spent so much time here and ate a lot of things on the menu, but these days I probably will come here only if it's a once-in-a-while thing and/or if someone else I'm with wants to go. It isn't my first choice but, as I said in my recent review of the Alt. Spr. WingHouse, there isn't anything drastically wrong with it, either. This probably should fall, rating-wise, somewhere between a 3 and a 4, but I'm rounding up and going with a 4. (Also, Ale House is a great place to watch sports at. There are a lot of TVs and I'm pretty sure that AH gets the MLB baseball "package." That is a big part of its business, so if you're looking for somewhere in the area to catch a game, AH might be your place.)

Typical Ale House compared to the rest. Service has been admirable while the food still remains fairly delicious. The food selection is all typical bar food but there are some that stands out amongst the rest! For those who don't know all Ale House's offer late night happy hour where ALL their appetizers are priced at $5 dollars. That's right....the GINORMOUS chicken nachos is only $5 from 10pm to close! The location is very simple and also offers an outdoor patio/seating area for those who would prefer to bask in the Florida weather. This location gets jam packed so expect to have some wait times during peak hours! I'd suggest you call ahead and make a reservation if you anticipate stopping by during those times.

a truly disappointing meal for even the simplest of their famous chicken dishes. Could get better service and quality from a street vendor. Even the MOD I requested didn't seem to care why I returned my meal. A big empty smile and thanks for coming.

My husband love's Miller's Ale House because of the beer--its great to have lots of choices on tap. I'm so-so about the food because I like my food pretty bare bones and they do lots of stuff to the food, but its always well prepared and good. My husband's favorite meals here have been the lobster tail special they run and the pork. Desserts are scary to order because the helping is so big, but they sure are tasty. Food services has always been wonderful. Once I had to have a steak cooked longer and the manager came to check everything was okay. Once the banana cake came frozen (apparently someone new in the kitchen). Bathrooms are clean and well maintained. This place is usually busy and well supported despite it--your food comes quickly.

My friends come here all the time to watch college football and I decided to join them about a week ago to watch the MLS soccer semifinals. Despite the fact that one of the TVs wasn't being used by anyone, it still took me asking 3 times to get the channel changed to my game. We ordered our food and drinks and at that point were having a great time, the issue came when apparently the bar had purchased a boxing match and if you didn't vacate the premises by 9 pm we had to pay $10 A PIECE. Why on earth a manager would be as strict as he was about this policy when we were obviously there for college football, I have no idea. When we told him we intended to stay solely to watch our respective games he was immensely rude and outright told us he didn't care that we were upset by the policy. Not only that, but as we left and my friend complained about the policy he outright THREATENED her and asked "which car out here is yours?" Immensely unprofessional and incredibly insulting. I will not be back to this Ale house location until that man is fired and will additionally be filing a complaint with their corporate. That kind of treatment of paying customers is completely unacceptable.

Disappointed is a polite term. I have tried this place on several occasions, as a precious server, I had hoped it was just an off night. I realize thought that the service is particularly lousy and the drink specials are nearly nothing to write home about. We were given a beer that wasn't what we ordered (clearly) and refused the order. When she returned, smugly, we accepted it and continued on with our meal. She tried to charge us and threw a quiet fit when we refused. On tonight's particular endeavor, however, we were given more ice than drink in our pitchers, and we're left twenty minutes without glasses to even drink from. I suppose we could have stuck a straw in it and had faired just as well.

Ok wait time for a Friday. Requested for a game on tv and it "wasn't available " according to the manager even though it was playing on local TV. Later to find out they were showing it on other TVs across the bar. Food was ok , asked for non breaded wings and got breaded wings. No biggie for me I ate some and left the rest. My fiancée's plate was another story, the zingers had a flesh of fish which didn't sit well with her, sending her to throw up later on from it.

The best Calamari around...the sauce they make for their calamari is fantastic. The staff is always friendly and responsive. The food is good. But if you like Calamari you have to try it here or any of the restaurants in the chain, it truly is about as good as it gets... I've had lunch and dinner and they are consistent and good. Great Sports Bar as well...

Old reliable! If you are looking for a cheap place to grab bar food eats and cheap drinks than this is your place! My friends and I come here for the wings... sure there are a bajillion places to grab wings, but with Ale House, their honey mustard wings are on point! And a close second would be garlic hot. Layered chicken nachos are a crowd pleaser. But the true gem is the zinger potato chip nachos! AND it's fat free! They have lunch specials and random drink specials. Wednesday is lady's night? They play decent music here and there. Good luck grabbing a seat here during games and fights. But if you are lucky enough, the vibe is great! there's usually a good mix of people here and if the DJ knows what he's doing, the place has potential to be a good night! There are probably a bunch of better bars, but for some reason i keep coming here!

12:14 during an MMA fight and nary a bartender in sight ...really!? It's unfortunate when a place I loved turns into just another chain. AleHouse had a great concept, with plenty of large TVs, über friendly staff and yummy (though mostly bad for you) food. Lately though, the food comes out less than fresh, the staff seems to care less and well, the overall feel is just not what it used to be. Yea, I know places change, but I always hope for progress when this happens. Sadly, not in this instance "/

Somehow, I always end up at the Ale House. It's probably because we have a large group of friends, and we often go out for happy hour together. I'll make plans for Bahama Breeze, or the Elephant Bar, but when they turn out to be full, we always end up at the Ale House. Yes, it's nearby, and they have beer, but that's about all they have going for it. If you go to watch a game, it's probably a lot of fun, but if you're trying to talk to people, the sports bar racket gets old pretty quick. Every time we come, I try something different, vainly hoping that I'll find something on the menu that I like. Everything is usually over fried, or covered in so much cheese that it's inedible. The beer is cold though, and no one else seems to mind the bland over salted food, so in spite of it all, I'll probably end up back here sometime soon.

If you've been to one Ale House, you've been to them all ... or so I thought. This one is really a slight step above some of the others in Orlando. Maybe it was the night I came in? It was ladies night - women drink free (some beers and well drinks) most of the night, and they even had a DJ (pretty good one too). So the bar was a bit livelier than usual but still I didn't have to wait for a table (big plus). Also, the server was very nice and attentive. Will definitley come back.

This used to be a HUGE staple in Orlando food when I first arrived in Orlando 10 years ago. I had never had a zynger (a chicken finger tossed in the sauce, my choice is honey mustard) and I thought it was the most remarkable invention EVER. Ha, silly. Not gonna lie though, those suckers are still YUMMMMMMO!!!! The zynger melt, WOW! Added salsa and melted cheese to anything and WOWZA! However, other than this one item, the Ale House is just Meh. It's a sports bar that plays music which kinda kills the fact there are 7 great channels showing amazing sports events and news because you can't hear anything. The sweet tea is pretty on point too. Don't get me wrong, I will hit this place up every now and again but... not sure why I used to pray to the Orlando Ale House gods. Silly goose. OH... Captain Jacks Burried Treasure... EAT ONE!!!!!!

I have been here many times, usually when my girlfriend is shopping at the mall next door but sometimes for weekend nights-out as well. Yes, it is next to a busy shopping mall so most of the time it is going to be packed. You WILL have to wait for a table on Fri and Sat nights, usually around 20 minutes but I have seen waits as long as one hour (though this only happened once). The service staff appears to be mostly comprised of young students; as a (likely) result, service is uneven. Sometimes I am greeted promptly and my drink order is taken right after I get to the table, sometimes not. Sometimes they get my order right, sometimes not, but even when they mess up they are always apologetic and quick to fix it. All of this said, I have never had a bad meal here, and I have had probably a third of the items on the menu or more. On my most recent visit I wanted something quick and we weren't very hungry so I ordered a caesar salad and the lobster bisque. The salad was fine, and the bisque was delicious. If you are in the mood for soup & salad I highly recommend it (though I would skip the bread bowl and corresponding up-charge). When I go REALLY hungry I typically order the 35 Shrimp meal. The shrimp are decent sized, the dish comes with two sides plus hush puppies...and did I mention there are 35 of them??? All for $10 or so. Really a great value in my opinion. All in all, my experiences have been positive here. I would recommend it to someone who is hungry and wants a big meal, or to grab a beer and watch a game.

Stopped by on a business trip, was starving and stopped at the first place I saw. Took the bartender almost 5 minutes to realize I was there. My food came out quickly and salad was good, no complaints. Also ordered the Zingers which I was a little confused by. They seemed to be a grilled/fried combo and I couldn't tell if they were breaded or not. Also found it weird the zingers came in a bowl on top of a plate that had the celery, seemed a waste of a bowl. Nothing awesome, nothing awful, probably would go back for a few beers for happy hour but wouldn't order the zingers again.

To sum it up, the Ale House is going down hill in Altamonte Springs. Here is a copy of the email I sent to the restaurant's "contact us" webpage. To Whom it May Concern, I went to your restaurant for dinner and to watch the NFL Playoffs last night. I ordered my favorite item on the menu, the Chicken Philly. What happened to my favorite sandwich? It was horrible. You changed EVERYTHING about this meal. The original sandwich was made with a grilled chicken breast cut up into cubes; fresh peppers, onions, and mushrooms, and a well toasted bun. The one I ate last night had ground up chicken that looked like cat food, no vegetables at all, a mushy half toasted bun, and cheese with little taste. You even changed the french fries. It was such a disappointment. It even gave me a stomach ache that didn't go away until the next morning. The time before this incident my wife and I went to The Ale House for a quick pitcher of Miller beer. It came with a chipped glass that nearly cut my mouth, the beer wasn't ice cold, and it was flat and stagnant. What happened to this Ale House? It hurts me to say that there is a lack of quality control that is setting your level of service lower then I've ever seen. Sorry, but you have lost my wife and I as customers, especially now that there are new options such as World of Beer. I hope you take these comments as constructive criticism and realize that your brand will be emulated by these corner cutting decisions, the lower quality standards, and the lack of growth. On a good note, the redecorated bathrooms were a nice change. Thank you for taking the time to read this comment. It was a better place to go years back, but now it is just another corporate restaurant that lost in a sea of cookie-cutter chain restaurants. I don't think I'll ever go back.

TLDR: This establishment clearly doesn't value it's patrons. Experienced racism from other guests and management did next to nothing to stop the harassment and actually made us feel like we were the ones who had misunderstood something rather than been on the receiving end of racist comments. Came to grab some grub and play pool, on Christmas eve, with my two younger brothers and a cousin visiting from Korea. As we were ordering, I put down a quarter marker on the pool table to signal that I had downs on the next game. After I did this, a table across from us did the same. When it came time for the next game, I stood up, paid, and started racking the balls as the challenger to the man who had won the previous game. As I was doing so, the table across from me starting making a fit, saying that they had put their quarters down first and it was their turn. I, along with the man who had won the last game, calmly explained that I had put my quarter marker down first. I continued to rack the balls, when we heard the folks at the other table made racists remarks about how I was probably Chinese, didn't speak english, and didn't understand the rules--even thought I had just spoken to them in clear english moments ago. If this wasn't bad enough, my dissatisfaction with things got worse when we told the manager, Brian, what had happened. He went to talk to the other table for what couldn't be more than 30 seconds and came to tell us that the other table didn't mean to say we weren't from America and were not being racist. Lastly, when driving home, I felt so disguested by the situation that I called Ale House, asked for Brian, and let him know that I was really dissapointed in how he had handled the situation. All he said was, "Sorry you feel that way" and offered no meaningful apology nor attempt to assure me anything would be different on my next visit.

From an atmospheric standpoint, the Orlando Ale House does just fine. Plenty of TV's, attractive, friendly waitresses and bartenders, a cool covered/indoor/outdoor seating area, a bunch of greasy fried food on the menu, etc. With all the HDTVs in the place, the waitress was happy to find the Yankees/Rays game (first off, with Tampa only 2 hours away, why were there 4 screens tuned to the Sox/Twins and ZERO tuned to the local Rays ballclub? And second, why in SAM HELL must AJ BURNETT blow EVERY GAME HE PITCHES against opposing teams WHEN I HAPPEN TO BE IN or NEAR THOSE OPPOSING CITIES???). As I settled in to watch this abomination of a ballgame, I perused the menu. One thing that jumped out at me is the shitty beer collection. The name of this place is the Orlando Ale House, but with closer inspection it's really a "Miller" Ale House so I thought maybe I was stuck within the confines of Miller products? But that's not the case either, even thought they do carry the entire line of (undrinkable) Miller beers, there's no relation. Don't get me wrong, I love Blue Moon and was glad they had it on draft but at an Ale House, I'd love to have more than one option of draft beers to tickle my fancy. That was literally the only beer I was interested in drinking, and I drink it all the time. I guess the name of this place, to me, implies "brewery" or "place that has tons of beers on tap" and I was truly disappointed in the selection of draft beers. And look, I know this place isn't Le Cirque or Nobu or anything, but even the cheap greasy fried app sampler was hardly passable as food. The spinach dip was horrendous, it was basically just packaged spinach mixed in with a huge glob of cheese. The mozzeralla sticks were clearly just bought-in-bulk-frozen-Restaurant Depot-double-fried-grease disasters. Marinara sauce tasted like Ragu. Probably was. Salsa and guac were definately store bought. The only reason this place is not getting 1-star from me is because the service was actually very good for a crowded restaurant. Our waitress never let our beers get to less than 1/4 empty without seeing if we wanted another, and by the time it was empty our next beer was there. The catastrophic grease masses were served to us quite promptly. Meh. I've experienced better. Yup!

OMG I dont know where to start.... I want to let you, people know, I wont take this bs lightly, this Ale House restaurant made me to go though. I have posted on better business bureau site already, my next step will be call to a corporate Ale house office, in Jupiter Fl. I WONT LET IT GO EASILY!!! Before I start, I want to let you all know, I don't like to complain, unless, I really got a bitter insult.I used to be a very often visitor to this particular Ale house, in Altamonte Springs,fl.Due to my busy life schedule, a very close proximity from where i live, and a late hour openings. I used to come to this place about 3 times a week, and spending many hundreds of dollars a months( I have all the receipts to prove so!!). I had some little issues in the past with the staff, sometime overcook and freshness of their seafood, but I would let it go on many occasions. What happened on August 17,2012 was beyond unbelievable and just an absolute humiliation!!!That Friday, I came with a friend of mine.It was busy, but not super busy evening. I got a booth.I was greeted by a new server Megan.I knew there was a special ,going on in this location. From June till the end of August 2012, after 10 pm, customer pays half off the appetizers on the list.It was on a little brochure, that usually sat on the table. I couldn't find that brochure any longer( it hasn't been the end of August yet). I nicely asked Megan, my server, to confirm the special for the night. She said she was new, and not certain,if there is any, other then whats on the menu. I said, ok, can i speak with someone, who could be certain, in advertised promo? About 10 mins later, the whole NIGHTMARE STARTED. A nice dressed gentleman approached my table. He identified himself, as an evening manager Brian. I told Mr. Brian that I am looking for the brochure with the advertised Jun-Aug promo, that USED to be on the table. Mr. Brian confirmed that they used to have one, but he DOESN'T KNOW(THE MANAGER)IF THEY HAVE ANY LEFT.WHAT?? I said ok, could u please, Mr. Brian, pick a look, if u HAVE ANY BROCHURE LEFT OVER, FOR ME ,YOUR CUSTOMER, TO PICK A LOOK AT?He left,I WAITED 45 MINUTES FOR MR.BRIAN TO COME BACK TO ME.MR. BRIAN (THE MANAGER) NEVER CAME BACK TO MY TABLE, NEVER!!! I waited and waited and waited some MORE, I didnt see the respective Mr.Brian again by my table. I seen him somewhere on the back, but not a single time, back by my table. So i got up, and I walked straight up to Mr.Brian, and raised my concern. I was insulted by the rude ignore and cold shoulder toward me, the customer. I asked if its DUE TO MY ACCENT,YET I SPEAK QUIET WELL,AND SIMPLY GREAT ENOUGH TO BE UNDERSTOOD, I SAID, I am looking for THE WAITING TIME apology AND THAT'S NOT ,HOW THE MANAGER WOULD ACT!!! AND HERE WHAT BLEW THE ROOF OFF OF ANY CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE!!!!MR. BRIAN STARTED TO WALK AWAY FROM ME ON ,ON THE MIDDLE OF MY SPEECH!!!!!! MANAGER WALKED AWAY, WITH NO APOLOGY FOR THE WAITING TIME, WITH NO APOLOGY FOR UN HELD/ UN RESOLED ISSUE..... WOOOW!!!! PEOPLE, ITS NOT OVER YET!! ONCE I GOT BACK TO MY TABLE, MR. BRIAN,GATHERED ABOUT 7 MEMBERS OF THE CREW STUFF TOGETHER, HE TOLD THEM SOMETHING OUT LOUD, AND ALL OF THEM AS ON ONE COMMAND, LOOKED AT OUR TABLE.... I PAID MY BILL, AND ON THE WAY OUT I ASKED FOR MR. BRIAN'S LAST NAME, MEMBERS OF THE CREW STUFF, REFUSED TO GIVE IT TO ME. Am I sad for all the years I came there, may be, but do I FEEL LIKE A LOW CLASS MISTREATED CITIZEN, YES, ABSOLUTELY YES, I DONT NEED MUCH, ALL I AM LOOKING FOR AM APOLOGY, A REAL GENUINE APOLOGY FOR THE EMBARRASSMENT AND HUMILIATION i GOT FROM THE MANAGER BRIAN. DONT MANAGER SUPPOSE TO BE AN EXAMPLE TO THEIR CREW MEMBERS??? WHAT KIND OF EXAMPLE MR BRIAN, WOULD GIVE TO HIS EMPLOYEES???

Won't be returning. Currently at home with a stomach ache. I ordered the catch of the day (grilled salmon) and a salad as a side. The salad was tasteless, the croutons were stale, and everything on it tasted old and bland. The salmon itself was dry and overcooked, not fresh at all. I sent back the salad and got onion rings instead, and left soon after receiving the sub-par salmon. The building itself was also very hot, which is unfortunate considering it's the summer and Florida.

The too long, didn't read version of the review: this restaurant has consistently sub-par service and mediocre food. it is overpriced for what you are paying. The only thing positive to say is this place is they aren't soft on the drinks and there is usually a pretty impressive beer and liquor menu, making this place passable for after work happy hour. However, their happy hour is nothing special, so even that isn't the best of reasons to come here. Now, you may be thinking, "Ben, that sounds unimpressive, but certainly not 1-Star worthy. What gives?" Well, the other night a friend and I went here for dinner. It was Saturday night, even so we went comparatively early and it was not that busy. We were seated right away, and ordered the Zingers Chips and a burger. I ordered an orange vodka drink and we waited patiently for our meal. And waited.... And waited.... and 45 minutes later, we were told that my friend's burger had been given out to another table. They were working as fast as they could to get it ready and would be right out. So we waited.... and waited.... and...well, you get the picture About an hour and 15 minutes into our dinner our food arrives. Now, apparently nothing had been wrong with my zinger chips, which had been sitting under a heat lamp the entire time. Most food does not hold up well just sitting for 45 minutes, but a cheese covered nacho-like dish especially so. I've never in my life sent any food back that wasn't going to give me some form of disease, so I hope that gives some context for how droll my food was. The waitress apologized and mentioned trying to get my meal discounted. The manager ended up bringing my food out, and with a quick apology was off. No discount, refund, or anything else to try and make me not pissed as hell about the meal. Total time spent at this restaurant (not including time waiting to be seated): 2 Hours. So here's my beef. Miller's Ale House is a large chain where the managers and servers are really not given a lot of leeway in regards to comps, discounts and whatnot by Corporate (I've had friends work at other Miller's in other cities). So systemically down the line I as a customer was disappointed with this establishment. Even barring this as a one time event, the food here is mediocre. This would be fine if there weren't several other places with the same M.O. as Miller's around the area (T.G.I.Fridays, Ker's Winghouse and Bahama Breeze to name a few). My friend and I have a pact that if either of us suggest Miller's Ale house, we are to be slapped in the face and have to pick up that night's meal tab. So I guess what I'm saying is: I would not recommend Miller's Ale House for regular patronage.

"She ain't what she used to be!" and it's ashame because I started going to this place back when they first opened this location and it was great ... service, food, drinks, you name it. Eh, not so much anymore. Wednesday nights are insane due to Ladies Night. It's easier to get into one of the other restaurant/bars in the immediate area. I still love the ZINGERS, Medium-garlic is my favorite, but pile these on top of some crispy fries and douse it with cheese and bacon bits and the Zinger Mountain Melt is out of this world goodness - it may kill you, but you'll die happy! I have never ordered anything here "fried" that is not terribly over cooked. Yuck! My hubby loves the Tuesday and Thursday steak special, but personally it's not my thing. Sports Bar - NOT! This is a perfect sports bar for someone who is deaf (from the blaring music) and can read lips. Otherwise it's a joke; the multiple TV screens are a huge tease! What's the point?! Billiards - Why do peeps let there little kids play at the tables while they eat? Free them up for someone who can reach and who won't constantly be clanking the balls all over the floor. Jeez! Common sense peeps. Service - Hit & Miss Overall Rating is a 2.5, Zinger Mountain Melt gets a FIVE (5) STAR review.

This place was decent for drinks and dinner. We didn't have to wait and were seated right away, I had the fish tacos which were pretty good. They have a good sized menu with lots of options.

Ale House is the type of place I go to only when other people suggest it. I've been several times to several different restaurants and have never had any stand out meals. That doesn't mean that the meals were horrible or even bad, just nothing to get excited about. Service is usually just ok too. This past visit not only did the ordering take a while but when the food came out one of the four orders was wrong. Drinks specials are not that special. My shrimp and crab quesadilla was ok but a bit bland. The chips and salsa app was a nice size with super crunchy, multicolored chips. Just, "Meh" every visit.

Wings are good - a lot better than winghouse or buffalo wild wings, and they don't charge extra for bleu cheese or celery. The beer selection is good, and service is great.

I came here at night when it was late and with this been one of a a few places still open i was happy about that, i tried there mini cheese burgers and they were not to bad but just like i posted about the other Ale House in Winter Park there all pretty much alike but i personally like it this one better, I came here after work to have some drinks and there was only ONE bar tender attending probably 15-20 minutes and for me to get this guys attention i almost had to get up on the bar and dance that would of been the only way i would of gotten a beer from this guy but over all the atmosphere is not to bad. I only give it four starts also because this was the only time i had experience a long wait for a beer and they are always crowded so gotta give them some credit.

Food is good but don't order alcohol. My whiskey was always watered down (you could see the bubbles trapped suspended animation, water doesn't mix well with whiskey) and I only drink it straight. I'm quite familiar with Johnny Walker Red as it is my preferred cocktail. I know what it's supposed to taste like and look like. It was definitely watered down. Also, my friend's beers never taste right when they order bottles. So eat and then go somewhere else for a drink.

The food and service was good. I ordered the Friday special, so my order came up to less than $10! The quality of the food was really good too. Nothing like the Elephant Bar, but for the price, it was filling and satisflying. This place serves the usual sportsbar fare, such as beer and American food. It was lunch hour and the surrounding crowd was mostly hungry retirees...Aahhh the life. Good food, cheap prices, and no work. Lol.

If you're looking for great drink specials (example $5 double vodka drinks) and good bar food...check this place out. This is also a very popular place...meaning there's always a nice mix of people. There's plenty of parking, but note that most of it is for the mall. You're allowed to park there, but be prepared to walk a bit. Great place to meet friends for drinks or go to dinner. Kid friendly and good for large parties. There's also a porch with a large bar.

I think my relationship with Ale House can be simply described as a love/hate relationship. Love... -Drink specials aplenty -Size of the venue -Great place to watch sports -Superb place to people watch -Sweet patio area -Big cups for your soda, water, etc. -Desserts are pretty good here Hate... -Most of the items on menu are terrible (except Ribs, Chili, Zinger Salad) - The hard ass bench booths you sit on Looks like the loves win. For this reason alone is what keeps me coming back. WeatherMan Predicts: Look out Altamonte Springs because on Mondays I see a strong Rib special front moving in. If that isn't enough then try their beer or liquor specials!

Wing were dry and lacked sauce. When I order extra sauce it was like water and did not stick to the wings.

    (2)
  • Letty F.

This place gets jam packed all of the time, probably because of its proximity to the Altamonte Mall. Their staff are not always prepared to handle the volume and it shows when you are seated and your wait time to get even so much as a 'hello' from your server is ridiculous. The food and drink are ok though and the location is convenient.

I go to this Ale House about once a week for entertainment more than anything else. While the zingers are good, I get tired of eating them over and over and usually try to eat something from home prior to going or after I leave. The Thai Chicken looks good and may be one of the healthiest things on the menu, but I'm not a fan of Teryaki sauce.... The beer specials are usually pretty good and walk out of there without having spent a fortune. I can't recall a time that I have ever been to the outdoor bar when I haven't experienced something to keep me humored for the week. I will continue to go back for the beer and the fun.

Well I have been eating at Ale House for some years now and I have defiantly went to some shit that I will not go back but on a regular basis I eat at my local one now in Altamonte, FL. and yea it will get loud and so if your looking for a quiet romantic dinner, no it will not be a good choice for that especially if there is a game on. Take her there after you get to know her but if that makes her mad don't take her there. But I wish the they would NOT allow kids at the bar though. For one thing the parents are like don't get to loud or no swearing etc. And the dam kid is going to get hurt or some moron is going to fall off his stool and hit your kid and send him to the ground. Now look at what you got. So keep them out so nothing happens to your precious child. thank you

I'm pretty much a regular for Friday evening beers out on the patio, but don't usually partake in the menu though. I had the blackened prime rib sandwich this time around though, and am glad I did. Topped with onion rins and between two pieces of buttery garlic bread, high in both calories and taste!

You really can't beat the service at Altamonte Springs Ale House! Very laid back, yummy food, pool tables, patio bar, great drink prices.... what else do you really need??

Good service, but food can be hit or miss. Dined at different locations and this is true of all of them. They are consistent at least. Food is hot, but sometimes not fresh and almost tastes like it was reheated. For a quick inexpensive lunch, they are okay.

  • Todd M.

It seems to me that over time the food at the Ale House continues to get worse and worse and I didn't really think that was possible. There was a time and a place where I liked to get some beer and zingers or even an entree, but the food has become so awful I can't even bring myself to do that. They do have a good beer selection, but so does Jax and their food is better. Now if I want bar food I just head down to Hurricane's on 434 instead.

After going to the car show we decided to grub. The ale house was close so ok. The wait wasn't long considering it was fri night. But when we sat down and asked which steak was better, the ribeye or the porterhouse. Our waiter said no to both and said he would never order either. Hmmm. Weird but ok. So we started with the nachos. They were huge and were pretty good. Until you got to the chicken. Ewwww. Still not feeling real well I asked about the soup while my friend was still pondering what he was gonna SETTLE on. Our waiter said the daily soup was nothing he would ever order and started laughing. My kids got a grilled cheese sandwich and chicken fingers. My friend got wings. So original right? Lol My soup sucked and bland as all get out. New England clam chowder never again. He brought my daughter the wrong food but my son was happy. My friend got the wrong wings and instead of making him new ones they just re juiced them so they were cold when he got them again. Meanwhile my daughter is still waiting for her food. The tvs were accomodating but the best part about dinner was the good humour ice cream sandwiches the kids got with dinner. The funniest part about dinner was the fact that they brought me an extra one to make up for the crappy dinner.

I SOOO miss this place! When I had my going away party from my Florida, I held it at this location. When I came home for the holidays, I had to come back to one of my Florida favs! I have been to locations throughout the state and consistency is not an issue! I had to learn how to make the chicken nachos now that I live in Chicago, but I love the Ale House experience! I cannot wait to go back!

This Altamonte Ale House isn't as good as others I've been to. Winter Park is the BEST as far as I'm concerned. The staff here at Altamonte aren't as friendly and the food even tastes different. Guess I'll drive the extra miles back to Winter Park Ale House. Zingers and a pitcher of MGD!

We are here last night.... good for atmosphere, its usually busy, sports on the TVs and pool tables, the food is very average. I like a blackened mahi caeser salad that they make, the chicken nachos are pretty good and my boyfriend always gets the zingers, which are basically chicken tenders dipped in wings sauce. They do serve cold beer!
